He revealed this on Sunday at a thanksgiving service organised to mark the October 25 Supreme Court rulung that made him governor in 2007.
 He said, "I borrowed N300bn and I paid N245bn back and I left about N15bn. But now, they are not borrowing to pay contractors. Rather they are borrowing for themselves. 
 
 
 "Borrow to pay contractors not for your purse. They have borrowed N45billion and nobody is seeing it. If you put N45bn in the state economy, the state will be bouncing. They will employ more workers, pay them and you will see things working."
 
 Amaechi lamented the situation of things in the state and maintained that projects embarked upon by his administration were valuable .
 
 He said, "It is those roads that I have done that they are driving on. The stadium road was done by me and they are driving on it. I did underground gutter, but they are building gutter and covering it."
 
 Amaechi said the APC in Rivers State was sure of victory at the end of the whole saga.

Jurgen Klopp admitted "football is not a fairytale" after Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Southampton in Sunday's Premier League clash at Anfield. Half-time substitute Christian Benteke headed Liverpool ahead with 13 minutes remaining, but Sadio Mane earned the Saints a point with a close-range 86th-minute equaliser before picking up two bookings in injury time. The result was Klopp's third draw in a row since taking over at Anfield following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, but the former Borussia Dortmund coach says it will take time for him to turn things around on Merseyside. "Of course this moment is not the best moment in the week because we wasted a lot of energy," he told BBC Sport. "Southampton haven't lost away from home so we had to work hard. You score the goal and you want to win, but it didn't happen tonight. "Football is not a fairytale. Sometimes we write stories like this but it doesn't happen. You see these guys can play football, are technically strong and physically strong but you saw how big the disappointment after Southampton was. "It's only a goal, only a game of football! It's like it's the last thing in your life and we have to calm this down. We can change a lot of things if it's necessary but not all things will work from the start. If you are on something you are not 100 percent better the next day. "It's not what you can change in a short time but what we can change and take into the next game. It's our situation so no problem. We can play Wednesday and that's our next chance." Southampton boss Ronald Koeman was delighted with his side's response to Benteke's opener, telling BBC Sport: "We deserved at least one point but honestly it was not our best performance but we had a good reaction after going down to a great goal from Christian Benteke. "Our defensive organisation is good, it is difficult to create chances against us. Teams like Liverpool, if they have a change in management, there is always a change in expectation. I know that, I have played for big teams and I know the expectation on the manager of Liverpool is always bigger than that of Southampton." Southampton goal scorer Mane added of his dismissal and the result: "Liverpool are a big team. For my red card it was two yellows cards. It was unfortunate and I am footballer so I will always say I didn't deserve it. The team works together and maybe I score the goal but it's important to get points for my team."

SPORT:City and United lacked the strikers to win the Manchester derby

MANCHESTER, England -- The question eventually had to come, and it provoked more tension than the majority of a largely dull 0-0 Manchester derby. Louis van Gaal was asked about Wayne Rooney. He wasn't happy about it. "Sir, I have to talk every week about Rooney," the Manchester United manager so formally responded before posing a question himself. "Why?" There's a rather obvious reason why, even if the United manager seems to be one of the few who can't see it. Rooney is a £300,000-a-week striker and has recently been lauded as one of the finest players in the history of club and country due to his goal records, but, despite notionally hitting his prime at the age of 30, he isn't living up to any of that. He again looked so badly off the pace, and that in itself raises questions about the ongoing arms race between these two clubs. Much was made before this game of the collective cost of the starting XI, with that estimated at well over £500 million. It's all the more remarkable, then, what both teams are reduced to doing with the most prized position of all: the No. 9. United persist with a player who, at best, needs more rest; at worst, may well be past it. City meanwhile must tactically improvise without Sergio Aguero and attempt to accommodate an option in Wilfried Bony, who is useful but probably not good enough to be starting regularly for such a team. In the end, one of the most relevant numbers to do with this match was not the money spent, it was the amount of passes wasted by the two primary strikers. According to WhoScored research, both Rooney and Bony had possession rates of 55 percent. These were by far the lowest on the pitch and were a large part of why we didn't see a shot on target until the 82nd minute, why Manuel Pellegrini admitted he had to go more defensive because his team couldn't keep the ball and why this game ended goalless. Both teams just looked toothless. For all that, there was a flicker -- and a significant reminder -- of something else in the 70th minute. That was the moment when the effervescent, young Jesse Lingard fed Rooney into the area with an angled ball. It was the type of play that used to be perfect for Rooney, and it was hard not to imagine his 2009-10 self immediately wrapping himself around the ball and whacking a high, first-time shot that at the very least tested Joe Hart. The eventual action did not recall 2009-10, though. It instead reminded everyone that Rooney had just turned 30 on Saturday. Rather than even get a shot off, the England captain strained to just stop the ball going out of play before playing a feeble pass across the area. It was just so meek and tentative, and it was remarkable to think that this was the player who first made his name on breaking through at 16 precisely because of his physical power. He was then explosive. He's now a damp squib. There are two deeper questions out of this. The first is how it got to this, to a player who now looks so laboured and limp. It is possible that this is all an inevitable consequence of the fact he did first break through at 16, considering he has played so much since such a young age. The exact same has happened to similar power- or pace-based players who started early like Michael Owen and Fernando Torres. Ryan Giggs is an exception to that, but that's because he so conspicuously changed his game to something more measured. Rooney has not yet changed his game, other than becoming so much more ineffective. The second question is how he keeps getting so much football, despite his only goals in the league this season coming after United had already scored in two separate 3-0 wins, against Sunderland and then Everton. It is all the more surprising because the excellent Anthony Martial offers such an obvious replacement at No. 9. He offers all the spark that Rooney used to, so thrillingly running between the lines and then filling the rest with flashes of brilliance like the lofted ball from which Lingard hit the crossbar late on. Here, it seemed so clear that Martial should go up front with Memphis Depay, then taking the Frenchman's place on the wing. It never happened, although Rooney was left on to offer his best moment of the match. That typically came in his own area rather than the opposition's, as he headed away a late corner. It still lead to more questions. "I don't give any more answers about Wayne Rooney," Van Gaal responded. "I am sick of them." Those questions are going to come if the goals don't. There should be questions in this regard for City, too, though. Bony is a good player and a useful tactical alternative to be able to deploy, but there is a huge chasm between his quality and that of Aguero. It's somewhat inevitable that any team is going to be someway dependable on a player as good as the Argentine if they have him, but for a team willing to spend the money, it just seems so odd that City don't have a superior alternative. Given the inevitability that Aguero will spend a certain amount of time out injured every season, too, it seems poor planning to only have Bony, a striker who probably needs another striker running off him. As such, Pellegrini was forced to improvise Sunday, trying to get Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling offering pace on either side of the Ivorian. It didn't work and instead stunted their recent good form. Sterling was barely in the game, offering only one deflected shot and an entanglement with Ander Herrera that might have brought a penalty. De Bruyne just kept giving the ball away. It all meant City had to give territory and possession away, too. Pellegrini admitted he went against his own principles and played more defensive in the second half for fear of losing the match. On this occasion, neither side had the striker -- or the quality -- to go and win the match.

WAHALA: Actress Mercy Aigbe Drags Man To Court Over Stolen Blackberry Phone

Actress, <a href="http://yabaleftonline.com/tag/mercy-aigbe/">Mercy Aigbe</a> on October 21st was in court over a case of her missing blackberry phone.

Adenowo Idowu, 38, was arraigned by the police on a counts of 
conspiracy and stealing of the actresses’ blackberry smartphone 
reportedly worth N370,000.

The incident happened at 10, Adeyemi Akapo Street, Omole, Ojodu in Lagos state on October 19, 2015. Corporal Una Michael, the police prosecutor said Idowu conspired with another individual to commit the alleged crime.

The suspect pleaded not guilty. During the proceedings the presiding 
magistrate Mrs. A.O Gbajumo, asked Mercy Aigbe’s blackberry phone had 
been recovered and she said no.

The suspect was granted bail in the sum N50,000 with two sureties in 
like sum. He is currently in prison until he meets the bail conditions. The case has been adjourned till November 11, 2015.</div>

Sadly, the tradition is fast fading out and this is due to several reasons.Kunle Idowu, a 54-year old business man who is an Abeokuta resident has always been asked jokingly by friends if he was attacked by a tiger or a lion. This is because his handsome face bears the tribal marks known as 'Abaja Owu'; three bold horizontal marks atop three equally visible vertical ones on each cheek. According to Idowu, "I cannot subject my children to the embarrassment I suffered over the marks I have on my face. During my school days, they called me all sorts of names because of the bold tribal marks my grandparents put on my face. I have been rejected by ladies severally due to the marks on my face."Nowadays, tribal marks have become dying mementos of an ancient era. Some of the young people who have it feel resentment towards their parents for giving them such scars.Across the major and minor tribes in Nigeria, tribal marks have been a way of identification. Ethnic groups such as the Yoruba, Hausa, Kanuri, Nupe, Jarawa in Plateau and Igala are known to have some of the marks. Such marks reveal instantly, the tribe of anybody who bears them.Giving reasons why tribal marks are predominantly used in some parts of Nigeria, an expert in History and Philosophy, Dr Babalola Adeyinka who spoke to LEADERSHIP said, "Tribal marks came into Nigeria during the colonial era when the colonial masters were capturing people and taking them to foreign countries for slavery, people started giving their family members marks to locate them if ever they were captured and to recognise them when they are freed. These permanent marks are ways of identification passed on from family to family, members of the same village, identification of royal lineage and people from the same lineage."It was also used during the period of inter-tribal wars. It was a simple means of knowing where someone came from; that is to identify their towns of origin and families. People believe that a person with tribal marks will not remain missing for too long. Such a person, if separated from his relations during war or other conflicts, would meet someone who would identify his town and even his family through this marks. Such wars have ceased, making tribal marks is a thing of the past," Adeyinka explained.Continuing, he said some people also give these marks for protection against certain diseases. "The marks were not only given on the face, but also on the chest, back, stomach, thigh or arm. For instance, in Akoko-Edo area of Edo State, the three-quarter-inch vertical mark on each cheek is an inoculation against convulsion, which is mandatory for babies. Since most childhood killer diseases now have vaccines, herbal or local inoculations that resemble facial marks are fast going out of fashion. In recent times, it is very difficult to find tribal marks on people who are younger than 35 years in Nigeria. The culture may remain a while with traditional institutions, but this also will disappear with time," Adeyinka noted.Corroborating Adeyinka, An octogenarian, Alhaji Bolaji Adekunle, who also spoke to LEADERSHIP, noted that tribal marks were used as a source of identification in the olden days."People who were migrating to other places had these marks given to them as a mark of identification so that whosoever came in contact with them would know instantly where they were coming from. For instance, there are tribal marks that tell you instantly that someone is an Egba man, an Ilaje person or an Ijesha man. In my days, they are considered beautiful. I am a first son and I was given these beautiful marks at birth. Ironically, things have changed. None of my children or grandchildren have any tribal marks. That tradition is fading out now."It is interesting to note that tribal marks are not limited to Nigeria, but to other countries as well. For instance, the Nuer of Sudan give tribal marks as a mark of transition from childhood to boyhood; hence, it is meant only for boys from age 15 and above. It is a ritual deserving a lot of courage as the traditional healer usually cuts each of the six vertical marks so deep that the cheek bones are often exposed!After the marks heal, the Nuer boy becomes a responsible and respected man in his community. He can then marry and settle down to adult life.Going down memory lane, it could be recalled that from the First Republic to the present day, Nigeria has had several leaders who wore their tribal marks like garments of honour. Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello, Obafemi Awolowo, Chief Ladoke Akintola , Chief Lamidi Adedibu, General Sani Abacha, Chief Richard Akinjide, Olusegun Obasanjo amongst others wore distinct tribal marks that stood them out in the days they held sway.Although these marks have a long history of tradition and culture, some Nigerians believe the practice of tribal marks should be stopped, because they are old-fashioned.A medical doctor, Godwin Atabo, wonders why anybody should still be interested in tribal marks in spite of the deadly infections, including hepatitis and HIV, which can be transmitted in the process. Atabo advises that since the process, unlike male circumcision, cannot be done in hospitals with properly sterilised equipment, it should be discouraged.Some Nigerian states have enacted laws to ban giving children tribal marks and imposing heavy fines on violators or prison terms.For instance, Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, made facial marks and tattoos illegal in the state in 2006 in line with its Child Rights Law.  A Florida woman was fatally struck by a big rig truck on Friday, leading to her death. But several hours afterward her dog remained at the scene, lying down in the road where the accident happened.
 
 According to Action News Jax, Deputies found the victim dead in the street around 6:15 a.m. near a Jacksonville gas station. The family identified her as 42yrs old Kelly Black and said she was taking a walk with her dog, Paco, when the accident happened.
 
 Dog Paco, who was uninjured, stayed with Kelly after she was hit. He remained there, lying in the road with a red bandana around his neck, long after her body had been removed.
 
 Sources say Kelly's family had to struggle to take the dog home. She and her dog were inseparable.
 
 The operator of the semi-truck was pulling out of the gas station when he "mistakenly" struck Kelly and he was said to have dragged her more than 30 feet before stopping.
 
 But the trucker driver may not have known he hit someone, said the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
 
 But Kelly's father disagrees. He said, "I don't see how someone could hit her here and drag her all the way out to Beaver Street and not have known it. I just don't know how I'm going to tell her mamma."

His company is responsible for popular fashion brands such as Zara.
 Ortega is the son of a "mere" railway worker. He was born during the Spanish civil war and grew up what could be described as relative poverty. The 79-year-old left school at the age of 13 to work full time in a clothing shop. 
 
 According to Forbes, he established Zara in 1975 with his ex-wife Rosalia Mera, selling lingerie and bathrobes the couple made in their living room.
 
 He reportedly lives a modest life despite his vast wealth, eats lunch with his employees in the staff canteen everyday, buys his coffee from the same cafe he frequented while growing up and often dresses in the same blazer-t-shirt combination, neither of which are from Zara. Mr Gaona is fiercely private and rarely gives interviews to the press.
 He overtook Gates as the world's richest man on Friday with an estimated real time net worth of $78.7bn. 
 
 But Bill Gates overtook him again in less than 24 hours, and was back at the top spot with an estimated net worth of $79.5. When money speaks!

 The DSS also charged the suspects to a Lagos State Magistrate's Court sitting in Isolo on Friday and the court ordered the remand of the 45 suspects in Kirikiri prison.
 
 The terror suspects were arrested following intelligence report on their alleged plan to attack the estate, which is in a high brow area in Lagos.
 
 The security operatives told the court that the suspects had volunteered confessional statements, adding that arms were recovered from them. The DSS urged the court to remand the suspects in prison pending further investigations.
 
 The magistrate, who asked that his name should not be disclosed for security reasons, granted the prayers that the suspects be remanded in prison.
 
 According to the charge filed before the court, the names of the suspects are:
 Abuyi Sheriff, Babagana Ali, Abass Ibrahim, Abubaka Grema, Kabiri Ibrahim, Mustaph Mohammed, Usman Mohammed, Modu Amsami, Isa Agafi, Adamu Jebili and Saja Kamba.
 
 Also among them were: Abba Sagoma, Mallam Buchu, Abdul-Kareem Abba, Babagana Koloye, Usman Buka, Adamu Mohammed, Lawal Mohammed, Tela Abana, Mustapha Mohammed, Isa Agafi, Belo Modu, Kachala Babagana, Modu Abu and Alhaji Modu Mustapha.
 
 In recent times, the DSS had arrested suspected terrorists in various places around Lagos including Kara, Isheri Berger area; Gowon Estate, Egbeda, Alimosho area; Ijora Badia, Apapa area; and Ebute-Meta.
 
 The National Security Adviser, NSA, had also recently issued a security alert on the likelihood of Boko Haram attacking Lagos seaports following concerns expressed by the US Embassy.
