According to online sport reports, Aston Villa have shown their interest in signing Barcelona young star Adama Traore, with negotiations ongoing.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood expressed an interest in Adama earlier this month but was put off by Barcelona asking £12m for the teenager, who has made four first-team appearances.


Sherwood was conscious of not making too many foreign signings and has been trying to buy Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend from Tottenham.

But Sherwood decided to go back to Barcelona for Adama and the player is expected to have a medical later on Tuesday ahead of signing.
