The Aspirants who contested for various political offices in the Obubra/Etung state and federal constituencies today in a celebratory town hall session assured the State Reconciliation Committee that the PDP had nothing to fear and that they were working hard and in unity with the Candidates who emerged at the various levels to ensure victory for the party at the forthcoming elections.
Speaking in one voice, the aspirants who have already gathered themselves together as a support group also charged party faithfuls and their supporters not to heed to the poison chalice of “food on the table” appointments being offered to them by the present failed government to move over to the other side as it can be likened to the trap of the butcher luring chickens with rice tokens in other to have them for dinner.
They constituents with told the reconciliation committee that the reason they saw smiles on the faces of their aspirants who didn’t emerge was as a result of peace efforts current being carried out by the candidates and leaders of the local government.
Leaders who spoke quoted that “You will never appreciate good health if you've never been sick” stating that the sickness brought upon Cross Riverians by the present administration needed to be purged and only the PDP was capable of that. Hence they are not prepared to loose that chance for a “Purge” by allowing perdurable anger.
“Non of us lost, neither the supporters or the aspirants. We all came out, we all saw and we all won and by the Grace of God PDP will win in all 21 wards of the federal constituency they declared” .
