 that Eden Hazard's groin injury is not as serious
 as first feared, sources have told ESPN FC.
 
 Hazard was forced to limp off after just 15
 minutes of Sunday's 3-0 win over Crystal Palace
 after suffering the groin injury.
 Hazard suffered a similar injury in Jose Mourinho's
 final game in charge against Leicester City last
 month and was forced to miss the win over
 Sunderland the following week.
 
 The Belgium international underwent a scan on
 the problem on Monday and tests have shown no
 serious damage to the groin.
 
 Chelsea are hopeful that the injury will only
 sideline Hazard for two weeks which will rule him
 out of the FA Cup clash with Scunthorpe and next
 week's Premier League clash with West Bromwich
 Albion.
 
 Hazard has endured a difficult season to date at
 Stamford Bridge, having failed to score so far this
 season, while he was also singled out for criticism
 from by some of the club's fans after Chelsea's
 poor start to the season led to the sacking of
 Mourinho last month.

Guus Hiddink insists that Jon Obi Mikel is the "ideal player" to bring balance to Chelsea's midfield after the Nigeria international shone in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace.Mikel was a surprise starter alongside the returning Cesc Fabregas at Selhurst Park with Nemanja Matic dropping to the bench, and completed 78 of 82 passes from the base of midfield as Chelsea produced their most convincing performance of the season to move six points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.Goals from Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa provided an emphatic scoreline for Chelsea but, speaking at his news conference after the match, Hiddink was keen to highlight Mikel's less glamorous but equally important contribution to the win."He played very well as he also did in the previous games," the Dutchman insisted of Mikel. I don't like to see a team drop back very far and seek false security but to look forward and get the ball forward as soon as possible. When they get the ball they know how to play. "We don't need to add a lot to the quality of the players. They are blessed by nature with a big quality but they have to know that when things are not going well, you have to look for the causes. "That's why the very talented players started working on the dirty work and not just the beautiful game -- because this league is very demanding and if you think you can do it just on your natural quality this league will kill you."The attitude is okay and automatically their quality comes through. The efficiency of this quality in the past half-year has been very low.We talked about that, we did it in training -- small conversations -- but if they have this quality and the team is well organised they must produce and then we can enjoy how they play."

 In 2007, the former AC Milan and Real Madrid star
 beat out Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to
 earn the top honor and this year his compatriot,
 Neymar, is lined up alongside the same two fellow
 La Liga stars on the shortlist for the top honor,
 which will be awarded on Jan. 11.
 Neymar is the first Brazilian to be among the top
 three finalists since Kaka's own triumph in 2007
 and his veteran Selecao mate thinks it has taken
 eight long years to see another Brazilian at the
 top of the list only because the conditions to be
 nominated for the prize are so demanding.
 
 "It's difficult to point out a single reason for this,
 but it must serve to alert Brazilian football. And,
 truth be told, it's no easy task to forge a Ballon
 d'Or winner," said Kaka, who played on Brazil's
 2002 World Cup winning squad.
 
 "Thankfully, Neymar has improved a lot since he's
 gone to play in Europe -- his game is a lot more
 mature," Kaka said. "Now it's a matter of time
 until he reaches first place."
 The midfielder, who now plays for Major League
 Soccer side Orlando City, said the dominance of
 Messi and Ronaldo is understandable, given their
 accomplishments.
 
 "It had always been a rotation: Ronaldo and
 Zidane won it three times, but there was always
 some other player -- names like Figo, Ronaldinho,
 myself, Rivaldo, Cannavaro... Then comes this
 succession of Cristiano and Messi, only the two of
 them -- and it is fair, for what they have been
 doing year after year," the 33-year-old said.

 holding a meeting over his future, according to
 multiple reports in Spain.
 
 News services Cuatro and Onda Cero said that
 members of the club hierarchy were due to hold
 an emergency meeting to determine whether to
 sack Benitez on Monday, and both Marca and AS
 have reported that he has now been dismissed.
 The two newspapers said Zinedine Zidane,
 currently in charge of the club's Castilla reserve
 side, is due to take over.
 
 Sources close to Madrid are confirming that Rafa
 Benitez has been sacked with official

 Former Valencia, Liverpool and Napoli boss
 Benitez has endured a difficult return to the
 Bernabeu, where he began his playing career
 with the reserve teams and later held several
 coaching roles.
 
 He was named Carlo Ancelotti's replacement in
 June but there was speculation from the outset
 that several senior players did not welcome the
 appointment.
 
 He came under more serious pressure with the
 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona in the Clasico on
 Nov. 21, while the club's expulsion from the Copa
 del Rey after fielding an ineligible player has done
 little to calm tensions.
 
 Madrid are currently third in La Liga, four points
 behind neighbours Atletico, after Sunday's 2-2
 draw at Valencia.

He claims to have designed a car that runs on water.
 
 
 
 He has been modifying an 800 cc engine for the last five years - and now believes he has made the scientific breakthrough.
 
 The car uses a mix of water and carbide which at just under two pence a litre is far more cost effective than traditional fossil fuels. Markani, from the state of Madhya Pradesh, said:
 
 "The car runs on acetylene gas , which is formed from a chemical reaction between calcium carbide and water. The gas is used for several industrial purposes including welding and portable lighting for miners. But in my case, I am using it to propel the car engines. I have made other changes to the engines, which helps the overall performance of the car. So basically, it is just about the water. This idea struck my mind while I was gas welding a part of my car in my workshop many years ago. But I did not know how to go about it," Markani said. 
 
 "Somehow, I made a start and it took five years to make this efficient engine." 
 
 Not only does he now possess a patent for his groundbreaking invention, he has been invited by Chinese automobile companies to further develop the idea, but for companies looking to cash in on his work, he has a catch; any plant to make new cars will be established only in his hometown in Madhya Pradesh. 
 
 Markani said: 
 
 "I want things to change in my hometown. So this is where my work should continue."

 According to Vanguard, Onazi said: 
 
 "I thank God for such a special day. Getting married is a milestone in the life of a man; to get married to a woman who you love and who loves you makes it even more special."
 
 It was disclosed that the pair have been engaged for about a year.
 
 On the same day, the new Super Eagles sensation Moses Simon also married his long-time lover, Ibukun Sarah Adenuga.
 
 As if it was planned, John Ogu, who proposed to his girlfriend on the football field also married that day.

 Pogba has become one of world football's hottest properties since joining Juventus for free from Manchester United in the summer of 2012. 
 
 The French international has won three consecutive Serie A titles with the Old Lady and reached the final of the Champions League last season.
 
 The 22-year-old has a contract with Juventus that won't expire until 2019, but he will be the subject of transfer speculation in the next summer
 window, with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Chelsea and United all reportedly having interest in signing the Juve No.10.
 
 Speaking to La Stampa, the 22-year-old
 compared life at his current club with his spell at Old Trafford, where he made just seven senior appearances in three seasons at the club.
 
 "People need to know that nothing at Juve is easy," Pogba said.
 
 "There is a different culture of work compared to elsewhere. I was at Manchester it seemed like being on holiday.
 
 "Here we work so much. All these titles, we did not steal them. It was by working right to the end."

"One of the minority parties will be lifted up and reckoned with," he told congregants. Petition President Buhari had during the conversation with Nigerian journalists accepted that the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki and the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu were being held against court orders because they could run away. Dasuki is being prosecuted in connection to a supposed misapplication of $2.1 billion meant for purchase of arms to fight the deadly Boko Haram insurgency. Kanu, who lives in the UK together with other pro- Biafrans call for the independence of territories that constituted the Biafran Republic, established in 1967. So far, the petition has collected 743 signatures out of its 1,000 person target. The petition reads in part: " On May 29th 2015, a former Military Dictator, Muhammadu Buhari, sequel to a contested election in March 2015 against a sitting President in Nigeria, the first time in Africa, an incumbent handed power peaceably, smoothly, heroically to a political rival. "Whereupon Mr Buhari then took the Oath of Allegiance to protect the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 and the President's Oath of office to discharge his duties faithfully, in accordance with the Constitution and the Laws of Nigeria. "Within President Buhari's first year in office, too soon after he took the revered Oaths, he and state agents acting under his supervision, now demonstrate total lack of respect for Court Orders and at his maiden media chat on Wednesday 30th Dec., instant, Mr President made puerile attempts to justify these breaches, he said inter alia that some persons his regime locked up in cells dehumanized against court orders, Nnamdi Kanu had travelled without his passports. "But under the Immigration Act, the President or the Minister may deport anyone who travels without a valid travel document or detain for a period not exceeding 7 days. In holding Mr. Kanu beyond the required period they have infracted on the Immigration Act, the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 and subsisting court orders." "With regard to issues of "self determination", the crux of Nnamdi Kanu's campaign of the Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, having communicated IPOB's intent to all and the United Nations as required by UN Covenant on Civil and Political Rights ratified by Nigeria, that people of any community or group may wish to exercise the right of self-determination with a view to pursuing their economic, social and cultural development; aware that their dignity as human persons had deteriorated and been consciously degraded under the present dispensation, sadly appearing power inebriate." The lawyer asked Buhari to resign as President if he is not ready to obey court orders or risk being impeached from office. However, the presidency denied to comment on the petition. An official said it would be improper for the presidency to honour such a petition with an answer.
