 Linda, this is what CRUTECH students take
 as breakfast. I visited their hostel recently
 and i met these guys who used N40.00
 (forty naira only) to cook soup. It was just
 an egg, salt and maggi.and they got a pot
 of soup and a very big bowel of eba which
 they ate in joyous mood. Though the guys
 did not permit me to take their pictures
 but they were proud to say that the meal
 is a balance diet
 
 When i asked them to tell me what made the
 egg soup a balanced diet, one of them started
 listing the ingredients such as
 water-1
 Egg-Protein
 Salt
 Maggi
 Palm oil
 Onions
 Pepper
 Please does these ingredients make up a
 balanced diet?

 identified as Abdullahi Adamu has been arrested
 by Security operatives attached to Operation
 Mesa (OP Mesa) in Ijora area of Lagos State
 following a tip-off by residents of the
 community.
 The suspect, identified as Abdullahi Adamu, was
 apprehended during a raid carried out by
 operatives of the security outfit comprising the
 Army and the State Security Service (SSS).
 According to The Nation, the raid, which took
 place at the Ijora 7-Up area of Lagos, came after
 a tip-off on the activities of a terror network
 allegedly co-ordinated by Iranians.
 The suspects was arrested after soldiers
 ransacked one of the buildings in the area.
 Adamu was said to have concealed some devices
 suspected to be explosives in boxes, which were
 stacked in the ceiling of the house. Also
 recovered alongside the suspected explosives
 were two AK47 rifles.
 Commenting on the arrest, the paramount ruler
 of Ijora community, Oba Fatai Ojora said
 "We have been calling on the state
 government to do something about this.
 This is the second time we will arrest Boko
 Haram suspects in this community and
 nothing has been done on that. The one
 we caught now had even admitted that he
 is a terrorist. You know that majority of the
 northerners in Lagos live in Ijora, Agege
 and Badia.''he said
 Another member of the community who
 spoke on condition of anonymity said
 "People came to me that they saw one
 man on the internet and that he is a
 member of Boko Haram, saying they know
 where he lives. They said they are going to
 his house and identify him. They arrested
 him and handed him to Oba of Ojora," he
 said.

A 21-year-old student Enki Bracaj, was hoping for
 a reporting job on an Albanian TV station and it
 seems her weird interview approach worked
 because she landed an anchor role after
 performing a screen test for the Zjarr news
 channel in Albania by auditioning with her blouse
 completely undone.
 Wearing a cream blouse, the woman sat with the
 whole front gaping open as she practised her
 news slot.
 And after her bizarre performance, she managed
 to walk away with the job.
 A spokesperson for the channel said:
 "Most agree that her presentation style is
 somewhat awkward, but we are working
 on that and to be honest it doesn't seem
 to be doing any harm to her viewing
 figures."
 And Enki has simply described the stunt as "a
 way to put myself ahead in a competitive
 industry".
 "It is not easy to enter the world of
 television."
 "It was obvious that if I wanted to make it
 I had to be brave and offer something
 different.
 "I checked first with my parents and when
 I found that they also supported me in my

 Milan spent a lot of money this summer on the
 likes of Carlos Bacca, Alessio Romagnoli and Luiz
 Adriano, while they also picked up Balotelli on
 loan from Inter Milan.
 After their 3-2 win over Palermo, Berlusconi was
 asked about the transfers that didn't work out,
 like Geoffrey Kondogbia (who chose to join rivals
 Inter for €35 million) and Paris Saint-Germain star
 Ibrahimovic (who stayed in France).
 "It was a wise move not to buy Kondogbia at
 those figures," Berlusconi said. "The starting point
 for negotiations was half what Inter eventually
 paid.
 "Ibra wanted to come to us, but PSG wouldn't let
 him go. He really hoped that he would come to
 Milan. Oh well, we've got Balotelli now and he's
 younger. Ibra, like me, is getting old."
 Berlusconi was happy with the way Milan set up
 against Palermo and believes that his side can
 impress this season.
 "I liked Milan and saw a performance with
 incredible sporting aggression," he added. "I
 rarely recall seeing such a strong pressing game.
 I continue to hope we can keep the ball when
 leading with 15 minutes to go, but I see it's very
 difficult to do, even for big teams.
 "Carlos Bacca has a great eye for goal, I like him a
 lot. Balotelli didn't get a pass wrong tonight and
 God willing he really is a different Balo. He seemed
 more serious and considerate.
 "He had a series of runs and combined with the
 other players. I hope he can continue like this in
 future. I talk to him on the phone every now and
 then. I think he has reached maturity.
 "I'd like to see Balo has a trequartista, although
 let's not forget Jeremy Menez is still out injured.
 Balo can play any of the three roles in attack."

ICPC recovers N53m from a suspect who allegedly diverted N103m meant for three Federal Government colleges

The Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices,
 ICPC and Other Related Offences Commission, Mr.
 Ekpo Nta, said while the commission had
 recovered N53m from a suspect who allegedly
 diverted N103m meant for three Federal
 Government colleges, he would remain in the
 commission's custody till the recovery of the
 balance.
 The ICPC boss said the commission had recorded
 successes in the fight against corruption,
 starting with the recovery of assets seized from
 officials of government who he said were being
 investigated for living above their means.
 Nta said, "We just returned close to N1bn
 to the Federal Ministry of Environment and
 N53m to three colleges in Ogun State.
 "An official in the ministry took the money
 and lodged it into a dedicated account.
 We tracked it and recovered the money.
 The N53m we just returned to the schools
 was recovered from a Federal Pay Officer
 in Ogun State.
 "The man is currently in custody and we
 will keep him there so that we will be able
 to recover the entire N103m that he took.
 He has been disposing of his properties to
 ensure that he pays up.
 "The sum of N103m taken by the Federal
 Pay Officer was meant for feeding of
 students in those schools. These are what
 we have been doing to return integrity to
 the society.

 Combat Illegal Importation of Small Arms,
 Ammunition and Light Weapons, (NATFORCE)
 A statement by the EFCC spokesperson, Wilson
 Uwujaren,states that the former presidential
 aspirant was being prosecuted on six-counts of
 impersonation, forgery and obtaining by false
 pretence. He was arraigned on November 21,
 2013, before Justice J. Y. Tukur, of the FCT High
 Court, Apo, Abuja, for allegedly forging a
 document of the Federal Government, titled:
 "Restricted, Federal Government of Nigeria,
 National Task Force".
 One of the charges read against him:
 "That you Osita Okereke and Ishmael
 Chinyere Nwogu sometime in March, 2010
 in Abuja within the judicial Division of the
 High Court of the Federal Capital Territory
 knowingly had in your possession a forged
 document titled 'RESTRICTED, FEDERAL
 REPBLIC OF NIGERIA, NATIONAL TASK
 FORCE' with intent to defraud,
 fraudulently used same as genuine to
 induce the public to believe that your
 organization is an agency of the Federal
 Government of Nigeria and consequently
 remitted the aggregate sum of
 N1,145,000 to you through First Bank
 account number 3066173170 and
 thereby committed an offence and
 punishable under section 368 of the Penal
 Code Act Cap 532 Laws of the Federation
 of Nigeria (Abuja)."
 Justice Tukur had granted the request of his
 counsel, Kanayo Okofar, requesting that he be
 granted bail.
 Okereke, who was arrested with several
 incriminating items, including bullet proof vests,
 has however, jumped bail.
 He allegedly operates a syndicate, which
 maintains offices across the country, defrauding
 unsuspecting members of the public, by selling
 recruitment forms for N5,000 in the guise that
 they would be offered job by the federal
 government.

Textile materials and fashion accessories estimated at millions of naira were destroyed in the inferno.</div>The Punch reports that the fire started around 8.55am after a power surge. The residents of the area and workers at the plaza were said to have made frantic efforts to put out the fire before officials of the Lagos State Fire Service and men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) arrived.A firefighter, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that the fire was caused by a power surge and started from the second floor of the three-storied building."It is a three-storied shopping plaza where they sell female fashion items like bags, shoes and other accessories. The fire started from the second floor and was caused by an electrical surge. We were able to curtail the spread quickly."Firemen from the Onikan, Sari Iganmu and Alausa stations responded with 10,000 litres of water each," he said.‎The firefighter noted that the residents called the fire service on time and "that was what saved the day"."The fire started from their internet server room. There was a spark, which started a fire. But we were able to stand with them till the problem was fixed and banking operation resumed without much delay," he added.Michael Akindele, the general manager of LASEMA, said there was no casualty in the incident and the situation was taken under control. It is only if I approach him for financial assistance and he doesn't answer me that I will know that he is angry with me."However, Goal has gathered from sources close to the team that Amokachi and his assistant Ike Shorounmu decided to call it quits with the Nnewi side because of the handling of the team by the owner, Chief Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah which has been allegedly described as inimical to its growth.Goal was told that Ifeanyi Ubah does not swallow defeat suffered by his club in good faith and that he allegedly forced his team to return to Nnewi after a league game same night they lost to Heartland in Port Harcourt at the detriment of their safety. This came before the unveiling of Amokachi.It was stated that the team obliged him save for former player of the side, Sani Kaita who opted not to risk his life and decided to end his romance with the team despite alleged several calls from the club owner for him to also return same night.Goal reliably gathered that a similar episode transpired last Sunday in Port Harcourt after the Anambra Warriors were beaten 1-0 by Sharks. It was said that directives came from Chief Ubah that the team should return to Nnewi same night after the loss to the Blue Angels.Goal was told by a close source that Amokachi ignored the directives and insisted that the team must stay till the following morning because of the players and the officials' who may be exposed to danger if they embarked on the journey that night.It was further scooped that the former Super Eagles striker reconsidered his union with the oil and gas magnate after consistently being pressured that he must deliver a continental ticket at the end of the season among other reasons and had to tender his resignation letter before he was humiliated and kicked out.Under Amokachi, FC IfeanyiUbah played seven league matches winning four and losing three games before he bowed out of the post.Willie Udube, Bulgarian coach Mitko Dobrev, John Obuh and now Amokachi have all coached the Nnewi side this season in the top flight.The Anambra Warriors are tenth on the log with 41 points from 29 matches but are seven points off the continental qualifying spot presently with only nine games to the end of the season.</div><div> </div><div>man*</div>
