It was a good weekend for Nigeria in the English
Premier League as Super Eagles duo of Mikel Obi
and Odion Ighalo attained new heights with their
respective clubs. Odion Ighalo struck in the 2-2
draw with Chelsea to become the first ever
Watford player to score in five consecutive
English topflight games.
Mikel Obi entered the record books in the same
game when he came off the bench in the 46th
minute to make his 350th appearance in blue,
the 21st player to do so. Also, the feat makes
him the club's third-highest overseas appearance
maker since his move from Lyn Oslo in 2006.
